Monologue Text
I always hated bugs. They’re so small. I had a friend, his name was... I don’t remember. He liked to chat and play that our bodies grew so large, we could use planets as yoga balls. He wanted to sumo wrestle. When our bellies would hit, supernova would burst. I never understood it. Why would you want to become so large? More people see you that way. They stare. More things are small. I was never into that game. Giants don’t understand ants. He wanted to grow, but I wanted to shrink. If I could be carried around in someone’s pocket, that would be nice. Finally, I’d take up all the space I deserve. I could hide. I could... The friendship didn’t last. I hate bugs. Maybe he did too. Bugs are the worst.
